A Missed Opportunity for Good Customer Service: Policies should serve as guidelines, not barriers to doing the right thing. Good companies know when to consider context and make exceptions for honest mistakes, especially when the evidence is clear: no service usage for an entire year and an inadvertent overdraft. Instead, Poll Everywhere chose to hide behind their policy, demonstrating a lack of empathy and integrity.
