We also had some questionable customer service with our initial rep at one point (in regards to scheduling/cancelling appointments on us).

Ease of accessibility for this tool has enabled real-time collaboration and flexibility for our business with remote teams from multiple locations. It can accommodate the growth of transactions, users and data volume without requiring significant hardware upgrades through its highly scalable features. Have highly dedicated security teams and infrastructure to ensure data privacy and compliance with industry regulations.
Nachteile:
The system could use a design update and be more effective in its multi-user mode functionality. Keep up on the positive improvements.

Kommentare: My overall experience with NetSuite so far has been quite interesting as I feel the need to know more about the application. There are functions on the platform that make a lot of the operational workload easier especially when it comes to reports. The application is dynamic and overall great to use for business operations.
Vorteile:
1. NetSuite offers a wide range of modules covering financial management, CRM, e-commerce, inventory, and supply chain management. 2. Suitable for businesses of all sizes, from small startups to large enterprises. 3. It is cloud-based. 4. It is customizable and Flexible 5. Kommentare: Netsuite is a journey; you are learning all the time as the system is getting smarter every day. Along that journey, we have had many great Nestuite resources, and people have helped us along the way. We have been able to leverage the power of the suite and improve our business.

I wish some of the modules were part of the core offering.
The most difficult project of my Professional life
Kommentare: It has been more difficult than I ever could have imagined. You fix one thing and it breaks another. In the end we wonder if the consolidation of systems was worth it. Right now my answer is it was not. There is so much I would change if I was in charge at NetSuite. There really is potential for it to be good, but they would rather charge you a ton of money for some feature that is difficult to understand, and ignore your problems. The difference between the basic tier and the premium tier is 200,000 transaction lines to 2 million. So the value of 200,001 lines is the same as 2 million. That's ridiculous. They should have more tiers.
Vorteile:
We like that we are using only one system for our accounting, fixed assets, sales, purchasing, inventory management, reporting. There are some things that are easier than they were before for us.
Nachteile:
This will be a long list. It's very frustrating to switch to an expensive system that cannot do what we thought it would be able to do, and has unexpected challenges that we just have to live with. - Parts bin verification button, box down arrow check-mark icon thingy. It's too small to see, and too many clicks. - Not able to batch print more than 100 invoices at a time. NetSuite does not care about this but its a huge deal when we have over 2000 invoices to download at once. We can easily miss 100. - Invoices disconnect from sales orders if they are changed, leaving the sales order open again. Which leads to double billing because we are checking our open orders, trying to close them all. - Internal invoices create a receivable. It would be so much easier if they just didn't at all. - Credit memos are an afterthought. It's like we're the first company you've dealt with that does them. - No negative quantities are allowed on sales orders so adding inventory back into stock requires a credit memo. - The entire parts ordering process is so difficult for our parts people. You can't easily see how many you've sold in the past, you can't see how many your location already has on order, without flipping through screens. It's a cumbersome, slow , confusing process. The amount on order shows the amount for the entire company so it's totally useless. Then on the item receipt, we can't see the total dollar value per line so the guys are constantly receiving parts at the wrong dollar value, making AP's job really difficult. And since our developers cant fix it, and were on the basic service level tier, were basically told too bad, by an automated email from Oracle. It's so frustrating. - We can't add more invoice info to customer statements. Info like unit numbers. The statement function in the system is essentially useless to us. - Grey font on a white background in a small size that you cannot change. It's like Oracle said "let's make this as hard as possible for people with bad eyesight". - Some lists that have lots of items we can select ALL, but others, you can only select one range at a time either 1 to 25 or 1 to 100. No rhyme or reason to it. - The entire Item Receipt and Item Fulfillment process makes everything slow, and creates 3x more transaction lines. They are redundant. If we had known that every transaction line would appear on three different transactions every time, we would have known we were on the premium tier which would have cost more money and we wouldn't have chosen NetSuite. The basic level includes 200,000 transaction lines. So now we are over that number. This was dishonest from the sales process from the start. Now we are forced to pay an exorbitant amount to move up to the next tier. They held our system hostage for ransom. - They don't give your developers free accounts! For us that meant we didn't have enough accounts for all our employees. There's lots more but I think you get the point.
Enterprise software is so expensive, you'll choose NetSuite out of desepartion

NetSuite is the standard for companies when they get over about 100 employees or $100m in revenue. You can't afford a "real" enterprise system, but you've far outgrown something like Quickbooks. It is a good value for what it does, but it's really neglected in terms of UI, modern integrations, and basically anything Web 2.0.
Nachteile:
The user interface is basically frozen in time from 2008. It's just terrible. You can't even believe this is being sold as a modern web app. We just migrated within the last 2 years, so it's not like we're on some legacy instance. And when there is a modern option, like an Android app for expense tracking, it's got such horrid reviews that I won't install it on my poor phone. No way. I'm sure the system keeps our accounts accurate, but from a user's point of view, it's super sad to see how old and ugly this product us.

Kommentare: It’s hands down the best platform on the market for distributors. With Amazon’s impact on B2B eCommerce distributors are looking for new eCommerce avenues and NetSuite seamlessly provides this as a part of the solution.
Vorteile:
Throughout my career I have worked with a lot of enterprise software platforms. The thing I like most about NetSuite is the ease of administration/maintenance and flexibility. It is an ERP, CRM, eCommerce and Business process development platform in one. Users are hard-pressed to find a business case they can’t be custom developed a NetSuite with ease well writing through future software upgrades without headaches. This is extremely rare in enterprise software platforms. NetSuite is a future-proof platform for your business, you can’t outgrow it, you won’t have to worry about upgrades ever again, not to mention you will only have one system to run your entire business. You can’t find that any where else!
Nachteile:
The user interface has been somewhat outdated, but this is common in enterprise software and NetSuite is making huge strides to improve the GUI. Also the ability to slice and dice data on dashboards is a welcome feature coming in the next few releases.
NetSuite Review
Kommentare: NetSuite has served as well as a full-feature ERP system. We can manage many aspects of our business all in one system including managing projects, recording timesheets, order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, internal case support, CRM, and more. I feel that NetSuite is much easier to learn and more intuitive than other systems, but it still requires time to set the system up for a company's individual needs. NetSuite is set up for wide-ranging customizations, but in many cases these customizations are necessary to get the full benefit of the program. Our time investments in NetSuite have paid off, but the program definitely requires a lot of love to adapt to the changing needs of the business.
Vorteile:
I really like the user-friendly appearance of NetSuite, especially compared to other older systems. I think the appearance makes NetSuite inviting and accessible. In general, the program is easy to learn, and NetSuite does multiple updates every year to add to the features.
Nachteile:
There are times where it feels like features are inexplicably absent from NetSuite. Users have the ability to submit enhancement requests, but it can take years before these are implemented. Additionally, tech support can be hit and miss on providing effective solutions to problems.

Overall a great accounting software for medium-sized businesses
Kommentare: Overall switching to NetSuite transformed our Finance team from data entry people to auditors. With most menial tasks automated or semi-automated, it freed up more time to audit our data and be more proactive with our accounting in general. Revenue management, which used to be a 100% manual, line-by-line nightmare, is now almost fully automated. Human errors were greatly reduced. Our sales opening process is almost fully automated thanks to the seamless Salesforce integration. Overall we are very satisfied with our switch.
Vorteile:
The Revenue Management feature is amazing, a bit tricky to understand but once you get the hang of it it saves a ton of time.Multi-subsidiary and multi-currency work extremely well. We have 8 different subsidiaries in 3 currencies and it's made our lives so much easier to have them all in one place, with automatic currency conversion and automated end-of-month eliminations.Having automations like monthly postings to our GL, amortization calculations for our numerous IT purchases and monthly subscriptions, and the great reconciliation tool has saved us a ton of time during month's end.Integration with Salesforce was a breeze with an out-of-the-box connector.Support is generally very knowledgeable, problems are quickly fixed and answers quickly answered. There is a great Help tool (SuiteAnswers) where we find an answer to most of our problems, as well as a very active Enhancements Requests database.
Nachteile:
Some features lack flexibility, like revenue recognition posting, but there are workarounds.User adoption can be slow because the system is very different from most mainstream systems, with it being so automated.Sales taxes management for Canada isn't totally adapted since they replicated American functionalities with Canadian codes, but there are also workarounds to this.

Effective Cloud-Hosted ERP
Kommentare: As part of our investment/integration approach, we have moved several businesses from QuickBooks to NetSuite. This is equivalent of going from mom-and-pop to professional-level accounting/reporting. We're very happy to have made the switch, and we expect to bring other of our businesses abroad the platform as a means of standardizing our accounting practices groupwide.
Vorteile:
Relative to other softwares, NetSuite is easy to implement and learn for non-technical users. Our businesses use NetSuite for a variety of accounting and finance tasks, and across-the-board our staffs have been able to pick up the tools and, in some cases, master them quickly with even just a little user acceptance testing.
Nachteile:
NetSuite needs a UI upgrade -- it was clearly developed in the late 90s/early 2000s. UI tech has advanced considerably, and some implementation of modern techniques would help improve the product. Our main complaint w/r/t NetSuite is the lack of very good implementation and development support. Lastly, there are some surprising gaps in the software; for example, there is no native functionality for approving changes to vendor bank details, an area of high fraud risk. We have developed our own solution, but we would have expected some native functionlaity for that, given the risk.

Start-up to growth business
Kommentare: TIme now saved in running reports to make better and improved decisions. With our previous system we had reached the limit of its capabilites but with NetSuite we know there is plenty more features and functions that we are not currently utilising, for us to take advantage of as our business continues to grow.
Vorteile:
THe amount of time I now save executing reports. My previous system I used to spend 80% of my time creating data sets and only 20% utilising, now this is the other way around.
Nachteile:
We are a small business and it took a lot of our resource to implement. The partner we were paired with to do the initial implementation had little to no experience working with a business similar to ours which was challenging at times. We ended up hiring in a specialist project manager with NetSuite experience to support our integration which I would recommend.

Kommentare: We've been able to accelerate our key business functions including Finance (accounting close is much faster), Operations (inventory is much more accurate), and Sales (customer orders and invoices are automated through EDI).
Vorteile:
- Ability to scale all of our major business functions, particularly Operations and Finance- Integrations with our subledgers (e.g. Coupa)- Automation opportunities such as EDI and workflows

- Warehouse Management (WMS) leaves a lot to be desired- Customization can be expensive, but thankfully we have not needed much

Kommentare: Overall, the NetSuite Staff and project teams will make promises the can't deliver on. They will do anything to make the sale regardless of whether they are the right solution for your business.Then, when it came time for implementation, they make you sign these aggressive terms and conditions. When we had questions on them, it delayed our project team 4 MONTHS because their legal team could not explain their own terms.The software is also INCREDIBLY slow. The NetSuite team will try to upsell you once you discover this to increase your speed but they will not let you "test" the speed before agreeing to a 12 month contract.There also also a good amount of native limitations. Examples include, inability to get a vendor payment register showing the original amount, discount taken, and amount paid. Inability to take a discount exclusive of freight on vendor bills. Sales and Use tax limitations. The system can NOT handle use tax and you need to either script or purchase a plugin to get sales taxes to calculate correctly. Copy pasting data/ tabels to print on html pdf prints, etc.

The reporting functionalities and general business flow of transaction processing is good

Sales Team Made Promises they can't deliver! During our initial review of the ERP systems, we went over all of our business processes with the NetSuite Sales Team and even provided process flowcharts and showed them what our system does. They were confident NetSuite could do all of that and more for us. However, when we went to implement, they fell short on SO MANY accounts. Basic things, like copy/pasting information info estimate forms and having them print with images are NOT possible with native functionalities.AVOID SuiteSuccess for implementation!! They are a cookie cutter implementation team and will not assist outside the most basic scope no matter what the sales team tells you. They basically just turn it on for you. Any specific things you may need for your business are considered customizations and you will be charged more for them. They had some very inexperienced staff assigned to our account that did things like missed MAJOR configuartion settings (making depts and locations required and fulfillments across periods), named native GL accounts differently so you wouldn't know why things were auto posting to the wrong account, did not review all print forms or assist in set-up, did not explain the GL impacts of different item types or how projects worked. They also did not assist with go-live data import AT ALL. You would be so much better off using a consultant. AVOID SUITESUCCESS.Software also has various quirky limitations. Do your research on reddit.

NetSuite is one of the most complete ERP solutions
Kommentare: All-inclusive. NetSuite is used across the company, from Sales and Services to Accounting and Warehousing. Regarding the various NetSuite teams, we are utilizing them to their maximum potential.
Vorteile:
After years of using various ERP systems, my top pick is NetSuite. It's adaptable and simple to utilize across all sectors. I've been an Administrator for NetSuite for eight years, and I enjoy my job and the program. Never again would I consider using another ERP.
Nachteile:
You can do a lot with NetSuite. The problem is that it can be too much. Spend some time studying the available modules before deciding one is ideal for your company.

Oracle NetSuite for Finance Team
Vorteile:
I would like to dive straight into the pros as given below: 1- It does allow us to automate almost everything in Netsuite using Scripts and workflow. 2- Easy to set up custom fields based on your tracking requirements. 3- Tax reporting is a lot easier now and if you are in Australia now you can ANZ localization for PTRS reporting. 4- Integrate with most of the systems you for most of the accounting function such as Accounts payable, AR, Fixed Assets, Bank Recs, Bank payment files, Sales and purchase orders and tax authorities. We have moved from another software which is used for small companies but since we have moved to Netsuite we are loving it and will keep on using it now.
Nachteile:
I don't think there is anything I don't like about Netsuite as it is very user-friendly and does allow you to integrate with almost everything.

Kommentare: In general I love Netsuite and how flexible it is for addressing the needs of the vast majority of customers.

How easy it is to customize without need for expensive resources and the vast majority of the accounting functionality works out of the box.
Nachteile:
Whilst it’s good to see new functionality delivered with every release, more effort should be made to address existing enhancement requests, some of which have been open for more than a decade.

Overrated and overpriced, not user friendly, raises price 10% each year
Kommentare: Just read above. This software is overpriced trash. I haven't heard good things about their competitors either, but I would rule out NetSuite if an implementation was tasked to me. I get frustrated with this software at least once a day, even after all these years. The lack of common sense and easy to implement things is everywhere in this software. The UI requires clicks through to many pages to accomplish a simple task. I cannot discourage companies enough not to choose NetSuite.
Vorteile:
It's in the cloud and there are a lot of third party integrations that facilitate its usage and remedy some shortcomings.
Nachteile:
This software is not easy to use. Creating a report or saved search takes an expert level knowledge to do and a lot of free time. Their how-tos and help guides are scattered and only show up non-relevant information. Access to a learning library requires purchasing licenses for each user at a cost of over 5 digits or more. First party add-on modules are NEVER fixed for bugs - things like sorting by name only sort the current page and not the entire population - report to NS and I hear crickets. DO NOT BUY FIRST PARTY MODULES - ONLY BUY THIRD PARTY MODULES THAT INTEGRATE WITH NETSUITE IF YOU MUST. Lastly, they will try to find a way to raise your price about 10% every year because they know the barriers to exit are too high.
A Flexible Solution for Inventory Management and Customization Needs

Vorteile:
What I like most about NetSuite was how flexible and adaptable it is. You can customize it to fit your exact needs. It's like building with Lego blocks – you start with the basics and add on modules as your business grows. Also, being cloud-based, you can access it anytime, anywhere.
Nachteile:
What I didn't like about NetSuite is that it can be slow, not very user-friendly, and requires a lot of help. It takes time to learn how to use it effectively, especially for new users. The system's slowness can be frustrating and navigating through it can be confusing. You often need support and technical assistance to set it up and fix issues. These things make it difficult to use and might impact how much you can get done.

Vorteile:
It has everything you need without customisation out of the box in most cases. No bells and whistles, and a little slow at times, but the core functionalities are all there.
Nachteile:
The UI looks outdated and clunky. And some of the menus/set up serious needs an overhaul. But they are stuck as people want it to look the same who have been using it forever...

Great ERP system. Suitecommerce advanced is not ready.
Kommentare: We have been working with Netsuite on this website for nearly 3 years now. At first we were weighing options for website platforms for two sites (one wholesale and one retail). We decided to go with another platform because the monthly fees for two suitecommerce sites were not in our budget and the platform provided more value for us. When we explained to our Netsuite rep why he lost the job he quickly offered to host both sites for the price of one site. We had a 30 day out on the contract with the other company so we decided to cancel based on the new offer and go with Netsuite. We signed the new contract with Netsuite and the first website was completed 6 months after it was supposed to go live. We received a new sales rep from Netsuite and we told that the second website for the same price was now off the table and that the old rep had left. Shorty after launching the site we began talks with Netsuite to add additional features and we were told that the old platform was difficult to develop for and that we should change to the new site if we want a solid foundation for easy development and a faster website. We expressed our concerns over the first website development time and we were assured it would not happen again by the Netsuite salesperson. We signed the new contract creating two websites. The first of which was basically the same site as the one we had just developed with some minor modifications on the account page and second site was a more complicated retail site additional functionality. Netsuite decided to develop the retail site first and we were given a timeline with an October launch followed by the wholesale site that was supposed to launch at the end of 2016. Several months later we were told the developers were going to put the retail site on hold and work to finish the wholesale site first. During this time we had weekly meetings with little or no progress and when we repeatedly asked about the launch date no information was given. Finally in January we we told by Pablo that the first site was going to be up in 2 weeks. When the 2 weeks had passed we were told that all of the hours had be used and we were not even close to launching the site. That brings us to our current situation. We have spent 3 years and hundreds of thousands of dollars so far trying to get this site up.

Single database for ERP and ecommerce sites
Nachteile:
The netsuite development team is from expensive. It is not the hourly rate but because they are outsourced to Uruguay and communication is difficult. It takes hours to understand basic concepts.
Lacks Fundamental Accounting Functionality and Reporting.
Kommentare: Horrible experience. We regret our decision to purchase this software every single day. With the exception of 1 person, every single daily task takes almost double the time and we have no confidence that it is right. Our checks are so poorly formatted that it is embarrassing. Our aging reports cannot be customized, so they have us using a saved search that changes weekly without anyone knowing why which has been going on for over 5 months now. Their team were unfamiliar with the concept of retainage, did not know what a check remittance was for or why one was needed, and further did not know how to create a check register. If you are looking for the most basic accounting reports, I would highly recommend that you do not purchase this software.
Vorteile:
This software was sold to us under false claims that it would work for our industry (construction), that it would increase efficiencies, and that its reporting was fully customizable to give us the flexibility to build the reports that we want. If any one of these claims, let alone all of those claims were true, that would be the pro.
Nachteile:
Where do I begin. This software is horrible. They lack the basic knowledge necessary to even understand what the customer wants, even the most basic of accounting concepts and reports pose a problem for their team. Not only do they not understand construction accounting, but they further failed to understand the most basic of reports, such as a check register, a check remittance, an Accounts Receivable Aging Report, Retainage Receivable, and Job Costing. They sold us this software claiming to have a solid construction solution, only to find out that they MIGHT have 1 other construction customer, as they confessed during our last call. I have 20 years experience working in public accounting and as controller/CFO for construction companies. I am very familiar with the vast majority of other software products on the market and this is by far the worst. It feels like we are in a laboratory being experimented on because they don't understand what we want and what we need. We contacted several other users as part of our due diligence, but you are only allowed to speak to people that they select and they must be present so I can only imagine this is because they pre-screen those calls to make the sale.
