A godsend for the restaurant industry.

Kommentare: Our customer used to sell physical gift cards through Costco and saw tens of thousands of dollars of cashflow and business through that channel. Covid 19 killed his physical gift card business. Not only did Square come to the rescue, it made online purchase a snap with their web portal and email fulfillment. We were able to generate tens of thousands of dollars in gift card sales and put the whole process into play within minutes. It was literally a money machine during the Christmas Season.

Vorteile:

We were able to implement a digital gift card program for our restaurant clients in minutes. We don't use Square for regular in-person credit card processing at all we simply set up the online digital gift cards in the weeks leading up to Christmas and generated tens of thousands of dollars in cash-flow for the client and guaranteed business in the weeks that would follow our Covid-19 holiday lockdown. It is so fast and easy every consumer facing company should do it. Your customer gets their digital gift card immediately and the business gets cash in about 48 hours. They make it super-simple to track the cards and redeem outside of your POS and conventional payment processing system. It doesn't matter who you use for your payment processing. It is simple and fast to add Square just for their digital gift cards.

Nachteile:

Wish I had discovered how easy implementing a gift card program was sooner. There are no Cons as far as I'm concerned. It doesn't matter what POS or payment processor you use now. There is room to add Square for gift cards to any operation. The percentage they charge for payment processing is twice what the mainstream processors charge, but there is ZERO cost associated with selling or redeeming the gift card so for many companies it works out to be much cheaper than other gift card programs.

Square online is much better than other platforms.

Kommentare: I started using this platform when they started out as Weebly (can you believe that). I loved the functionality then and definitively love where they have grown and what they offer. My experience has been amazing and I have gotten other people to create their FREE website also on this platform.

Vorteile:

I love that I can add all my products, edit my website, connect my bank account, and do so much, and the price is wonderful.

Nachteile:

They do not offer digital download options. Adding this would be amazing as I have to use another service to offer digital art prints to my clients.

Serious issue with shipping profile setting. Problem remains over 12 months since last brought up

Serious bug on shipping profile setting. the program is written without a logical mindset. and problem was first brought up in community forum in 2021!!A Custom shipping profile allows Single Ship rate setting. And the insanity is, Square won't permit you to assign the product to multiple custom profiles. So your product is restricted to one custom profile where you can set one or multiple destinations, but with one ONE SINGLE ship rate allowed. The one who wrote the program does not have a sound mental state. The management at Square also have serious problem to allow the issue remain over 24 months.Live Chat agent confirmed with me today Sept 30, 2023, the feature I want is currently not available with Square OnlineWARNING TO WHO MAY BE INSTERESTED TO USE SQUARE ONLINESTay away unless they fix the problem !! It is a joke and a waste of time!

Great tool for small biz

Use friendly app, cheap transaction and transfer fees

Transfer times can take a bit long but there is an option to instantly transfer funds

I love this site and it's features

Kommentare: I love how overrall easy it is to use Square from the initial taking of payment, organization of reports and invoicing and the value you get for a nominal price.

Vorteile:

Great value for the money, templates make starting up easier than you can imagine, time saving and organization right at your fingertips.

Nachteile:

Some editing features are difficult to understand when adding pages or sections to online platform. Would like to see more instructions or easier to understand instructions when adding products and customization to pages and sections.

Sometimes I think that square is physically too small or not sturdy enough.

Square for Church Donations

Kommentare: Tracking membership donations is vital to our church.

Vorteile:

The software allows instant tracking of church donations by member, recording amount of donation, who donated, and when.

Nachteile:

Sometimes the church members do not know how to log on correctly. When this happens, the Ipad that we use is hard to get back to normal.

Easy and No surprises on fees charged

Kommentare: Best of all I know what fees will be charged. also very easy to track those fees on individual transactions. No hassle trying to make sense of a monthly statement as is the case with other platforms and POS

Kommentare: I enjoy square I’ve been a member with them since 2017 and will continue to do so I just purchased a square stand for an iPad and will purchase a register to have an easier layout when making transactions.

Vorteile:

I enjoy using Square because it is so easy and user-friendly. My employees just get right on it no need to show them 1 million times because it is that simple I enjoy it and I love to recommend other people to use it as well it’s also inexpensive and I enjoy it because it just takes some money right out so I don’t have to worry about paying no fees at the end of the month it’s already done

Nachteile:

The least I like is how my reader disconnects but it’s fine I’ll just reconnected every day that’s the only downside

Kommentare: Very happy overall with ease of use. Additional upgrades and additional are appreciated.

Easy to use, inexpensive, integrates with square store easily.

Nachteile:

Website templates are limited and square online stores start to all look similar. Offering discounts with multiple purchased items without using a coupon is not available. Having automatic shipping discounts without using a coupon is not available. Would like automatic discounts and be able to offer free shipping when minimum orders are met. Have to be careful about generating a shipping label because you only get one chance. If a shipment requires two or more labels, can only generate through square online via shippo. Then have to go to shippo to generate additional labels. That is a hassle.

Finally a Website that is easy to use.

Kommentare: My time is important. I dont want to spend my time building or redesigning pages, I want to spend it with my products. Getting them described, priced and listed.

Vorteile:

The ability to add multiple photos and contiually edit photos is probably what I like best. Description of product tells only some about the product. Buyers want to see it. I can easily edit the photos and rearrange them for renewed interest.

Nachteile:

My products need a numbering system that a buyer can easily see and add when asking me questions about the product. Many customers want to use Pay Pal.

Everyone Loves My Page!

Kommentare: Overall, Square has been a bigger help than I anticipated. I love that it's not hard to find any answer to any question I have. I plan to use those platform long term.

Vorteile:

Square makes starting an online business seem easy! They keep track of the inventory, allow you to make customer profiles, and be as creative as you like. The best features in my opinion are: the free stock photos, low cost domains, and checkout links.

Nachteile:

Now that I've been using Square for a year now, I realize I would love the option to have my customers control their account and see past orders. I get asked that question a lot. Apparently it's not user-friendly as of right now

Square Is The Perfect Site For Publishing

Kommentare: I have used Square almost from the moment I founded our press. It is easy to navigate, easy for a web master to add or subtract books, and so easy for our readers to purchase a book or even many books at one time. The site feels very safe to both us and to our purchasers. I also particularly like how quickly payments come in and are clear. I gave up other sites when I began to employ Square. I can't begin to say how very happy I have been with Square in infinite ways!

Vorteile:

In the world of publishing, there are countless ways to access or sell books and magazines. Square makes it easy to place a book up for sale on our site, with full description. Too, the purchasers are able to access the book for purchase even if they are not very familiar with computers or purchase sites.

Nachteile:

It might be a tad easier to work with a template that allows for some changes editorially. For example, there is not a Free Shipping button.
