Paychex Flex is great for completing payroll

Kommentare: I appreciate being able to check on the 401(k) and have the money go straight into employee accounts, saving time and effort. Since insurance coverage is now related directly to who has enrolled in which plans, processing payroll has become much more efficient.

Vorteile:

From either the employer's or employee's perspective, the website couldn't be simpler to use. Filters and stored views make it easy to customize your payroll experience based on your current needs.

Nachteile:

Over the years, I've seen a few different specialists. Obviously, not everyone has the same potential. When my allocated person hasn't been able to help me, I've found that the online chat staff is quite responsive and helpful.

Old School Payroll

Kommentare: The process I inherited had people filling out and signing timesheets manually. It was terrible.

Vorteile:

Not much, I suppose it was inexpensive and does not change very much from year to year.

Nachteile:

Lack of innovation, the technology seemed like it was from decades ago.

Expensive & Frustrating Company and Service

Kommentare: We switched to Paychex for their Employee Retention Credit filing services, and they seemed like they'd be more involved and personal than our previous provider. However, things turned south and they drop the personal touch once you're established. They're a decent payroll provider, but the lack of transparency with invoicing and dashboard navigation issues are concerning.

Vorteile:

Paychex onboarding is great. The main dashboard became easier and easier to use, and there's a lot of features that come with a basic subscription and more you can add.

Nachteile:

The extra features are pushed HARD by their teams. Their retirement savings team was almost predatory with how they sold the product, constant calls, applying pressure to make a decision, and more. Once we started with their HR service, things just got worse. These features get more and more expensive with less and less that they offer, but you're under contract. The invoicing gets obfuscated so you don't know what money is being charged for, and you have to be on top of them to not make errors or mistakes. The platform itself can be confusing with many features not having a menu button, requiring access strictly through an notification card on the dashboard homepage.

Kommentare: From one to ten, I would rate Paychex a 7.

Vorteile:

Very easy to use as admin member and the various reports.

Nachteile:

Lacks in good customer service. Takes a while to get a response.

PayChex Review

Kommentare: Quite good once I got used to knowing the interface. It was a little difficult of a break in period. Happy with all the options and information that the site can hold

Vorteile:

Ease of use. Feel like it is an all encompassing platform where you are given access to everything you need from benefits to payroll

Nachteile:

Feel like the interface is stuck in 2007. Little older and somewhat tough to navigate at times. Organization on the site is not that great either. Once you get familiar, it is super easy, but have had difficulty breaking it in

Kommentare: Paychex Flex has been a great help for me when it comes to filing taxes and keeping track of my salary and benefits. The dashboard is remarkably user-friendly, allowing me to filter information and data exactly the way I want. Overall, I would give it a solid 10/10!

Vorteile:

The platform is incredibly user-friendly and straightforward to navigate. It’s especially useful during tax season, as it conveniently consolidates all tax forms and benefit statements in one location!

Nachteile:

I can’t think of any downsides to this product right off the bat. It’s highly practical and straightforward to use!

Getting logged in and the verifying is hard to get use to

Kommentare: It was easy to use for payroll, but integrating it with other software was a chore.

Vorteile:

It was simple to use and needed very little experience to use it.

Nachteile:

The software does not have a good presentation, it did not look nice and seemed basic

Who was the Challenge

Kommentare: Very frustrating. Time and Attendance wasnot set up to cover varied time schedules. Majority of our staff work 7 hours or less and it calculated employees PTO at 8 hours.

Vorteile:

We had a difficult payroll and many on the implementation team became frustrated all except our Payroll Manager. She was patient and work with us to get a great product. Even when we decided to leave Paychex, she follow-up to see if we still needed their services until our new payroll vendor was able to get our payroll set up in their system.

Nachteile:

The system is hard to use. Many of the features convert back to original features. The system nor the training received from the implementaion team did not allow the Administrator to make minimal employee information changes. This was frustrating. Also, the assist feature was outdated and was hard to follow the steps to rectify an issue using the help assistant. As well, CSR was not able to assist with any issues either. Very frustrating.

My Paychex Review

Kommentare: Overall it's been a good experience. I have 10 years experience working on a variety of HRIS systems and this one was probably the easiest to pick up.

Vorteile:

It's very user friendly, support is easy to access. It takes less time to do end of the year reporting than with Advantage Payroll

Nachteile:

It's hard to get someone on the phone to answer questions, sometimes there is a revolving door of payroll specialists. Also the pressure to add on services such as the 401k and benefits.

Office manager

Kommentare: Now that I understand the reports and ease of use I really enjoy doing payroll.

Vorteile:

East to use. Dashboard has everything I need.

Nachteile:

Not a flex problem but having to reinvite staff multiple times until they register.

Paychex ROCKS

Kommentare: 1000% Satisfied - they are the best in the industry!

Vorteile:

One stop does it all - all calls answered day or night and even on weekends and holidays - have done it and they are amazing!

Nachteile:

I wish Paychex had been introduced sooner

Dependable, One Stop Shop for Tracking Employment Info

Kommentare: Overall, Paychex Flex made it easy to submit hours, submit time off requests and view pending ones, as well as look up vital employment salary and benefits information - all in a secure, online form. It has saved time and spared my supervisors many questions over years.

Vorteile:

It was easy to view paystubs, submit time off requests, and get a snapshot of important employment milestone dates.

Nachteile:

None. It performed its functions exceptionally well.

Kommentare: It has been a great experience and very efficient to use Paychex from their portal and get to all the features it lets you manage.

Vorteile:

Paychex has a great user interface that makes it easy to find all the resources I need to manage my time, benefits and employee approvals for time off.

Nachteile:

One challenge is finding the right support agent for the issue I am having. It can take some time to get connected.

Useful application, but room for more flexibility

Kommentare: Overall I think it's good, but of course there is room for improvement on how flexible it really can be for users.

Vorteile:

My favorite thing is that I can see all my tax forms on Paychex, that way I don't need to worry about losing my papers or asking someone for another copy.

Nachteile:

I don't like that it limits how soon you can clock in and out. Sometimes I go on my break, but minutes later they ask me to come back and help someone else. But because you have to wait a bit before you can clock back in, it blocks you. Or at least that has been my experience.

Paychex is a great source to use for a business!

Kommentare: Overall Paychex Flex is a great source to run payroll. They file all tax filings and the costumer service if good. They also have tons of reports and very nice reports compared to some other platforms.

Vorteile:

What I like most about Paychex Flex is that payroll is easy to to run and the site is pretty user friendly and it has everything you need all in one platform.

Nachteile:

There is nothing I really dislike about paychex.

Paychex Flex

Kommentare: We've been using Paychex Flex for almost 10 years now.

Vorteile:

It does any kind of math for you, shows anniversary date when hired, keeps track of sick & vacation times, and gives tax info

Nachteile:

Using the TAB key to get to each box can be a chore. I have the same schedule everyday. There should be a way to put my hours in one day and have it copy for the other days. I have to individually punch in my hours for each day. Time consuming.

Paychex Flex as easy as 1,2,3!

Kommentare: I have been using Paychex as the manager of a very busy salon. The Paychex Flex app and site is so easy. Adding new employees is a breeze-and it allows the employee to be part of the process eliminating any mistakes. I can check it, review messages and act even if not at the salon. The Team at Paychex is amazing-always helpful and accommodating.

Vorteile:

The EASE of use. Everything in the portal is clearly laid out and user friendly.

Nachteile:

Not available...Love everything about it!

Kommentare: Paychex Flex as a desktop website and a mobile app works very well with keeping employee information and pay as portable and in the realm of ease of use. I think it integrates well for many companies, and is super simple to use compared to other systems

Paychex Flex is very easy to use for employers and employees alike. It is one of the easiest payroll systems I've used to date.

Nachteile:

I didn't like the login issues, as I had one quite a bit.

Kommentare: Content with the services it provided to me at that time, which was through my previous employer. Used about 1.6 years! (1y, 6m)

Vorteile:

Only used until upgraded to different provider/platform altogether!

Nachteile:

I never had a problem with this software, honestly. ESPECIALLY compared to some/other providers of the same functions/purpose.

Paychex Flex Great Time Management Software

Vorteile:

It was very easy to use and navigate. Clocking in and out was a breeze. It was also very easy to adjust time if someone forgot to clock in or out.

Nachteile:

The 401k features were confusing to some people. They thought it could have been a bit more intuitive.

Great software for small companies.

Kommentare: The overall software is great and easy to use; however, that seems to apply best to a small company with fewer than 100 employees.

Vorteile:

I liked the point-and-click functionality of the software.

Nachteile:

This software seems to be geared for smaller companies, whereas the company I was working for at the time of using Paychex Flex had over 500 employee

An Excellent Product

Kommentare: Overall I have had a positive experience with Paychex Flex. After the initial transition to the product the usage has be wonderful. My employee's love the app and having all of their paystubs at their fingertips. This is an excellent payroll management system.

Vorteile:

I really like the self service app available for employees. This allows employee review pay stubs as well as adjust deductions and various useful features.

Nachteile:

The transfer to this system was not as smooth as hoped. I do believe the account representatives could have coordinated our account set-up better. I always felt as if I didn't have enough information.
