Kommentare: I enjoyed connecting with some peers from my background in education who happened to share with me some other platforms like Linkedin but here, it was less formal and more productive to discuss. I would recommend using it at least once to check the status of your work network.

Vorteile:

There is minimum self-promotion. People drive the conversations about jobs, experience, and new opportunities. You might bump into a peer in your company or in the same company but in a different country. It is interesting to find new people as well.

Nachteile:

Some fields like IT, tech, blockchain, AI, etc are very popular but information and conversations about professions like mine - ie education are less and hence I could not use it for more than a few months.

Fishbowl is a scam

Kommentare: We paid Fishbowl $12000, for an ERP system. They never deliver anything. Our integration specialist kept charging. The service we signed for was never installed, and they refused to give us a refund. We are in the process to hire an attorney to get our money back. This company is a scam, and I dont recomend it to anyone.

Great inventory software for small business

Kommentare: Satisfied with regular support, problem solving assistance, report writing assistance

Vorteile:

The ability to track by Serial numbers and shelf life

Nachteile:

Everything has to have custom reports to get what you need

Fishbowl Review

Kommentare: Overall, the system is a great tool. It does take some time to get used to navigating and understanding how to successfully fulfill each step in the operation cycle. After spending a month in the system, I am confident navigating and working in it. The system could use a new skin.

Vorteile:

Flexibility of the platform to account for many different obstacles that can occur in operations.

Nachteile:

Navigating through the different boards in the program. There are no Tool Tips available to help the user understand what each button's function is. Also, after a user sets the what their screen preference is, the screen will default back so the next time the user goes into a specific board, they need to readjust the frame.

Good stuff

Kommentare: very fluid transition. The only trouble I have is when inventory finds a SN but then when I try to quick fulfill an estimate it can't find it.

Vorteile:

It's very intuitive and not difficult to learn

Nachteile:

having to pick the parts/but that is also one of the things I like most.

Great Experience

Kommentare: My overall experience with Fishbowl has been fantastic. Over the years, I was not able to log in twice, and the support team fixed it right away when I called in.

Vorteile:

What I like most about Fishbowl is that it is easy and effective to use when doing my job.

Nachteile:

There are really not any cons that I can think of from the years I have used Fishbowl.

Best Inventory System for Small Business

Kommentare: Software can be improved but I love the customer service and support.

Vorteile:

It serves the majority of our needs well for the size of our company.

Nachteile:

Not user friendly for an Apple user. Some drop down menu gets hidden and Apple user is not able to select the options. We also can't manage inventory in our sales channels from Fishbowl which is a very big thing. Also the customer information management is lacking. Need to have company and also contact details separately and this needs to sync properly with Quickbooks.

We love the scalability and how the modules are integrated with one another increasing productivity and enhanced reporting functionality.

Nachteile:

I don't like that it does not differentiate a reship purchase order with a drop ship purchase order from an item costing perspective. In other words, if I place an order for material from my supplier, and have them ship it to my customer directly, the cost impacts my AVERAGE cost of the inventory in my warehouse even though it has not been physically received in and mixed in with previously purchased inventory.

3PL - Great for Small Businesses

Kommentare: At first it took some time getting used to as my company used a far simpler version of FishBowl. However, after using this system, it only took a week or so to get used to the functionality. But, there’s always something new to learn as FishBowl has so many feautures that we haven’t come across. It’s a great WMS to use for smaller businesses such as ourselves.

Vorteile:

I love having the sales order summary for end of month reports. It can be easily reviewed as the sales order numbers can be clicked and it brings you to that specific sales order to be easily reviewed.

Nachteile:

I don’t like how the sales orders and pick reports do not show the total quantity of the units or cartons being picked. That would help greatly.

Great system that has helped our company thrive

Vorteile:

We can manage all of our inventory efficiently. It is much better than the system we used to use.

Nachteile:

It would be nice if we could void a shipment. It is also a little frustrating that we can't edit a purchase order after the product has moved, eg: been committed to a sales order. Sometimes we get invoices for freight after we receive the product, and there is no way to edit the reconciliation after the product has moved. So we're forced to go in and manually re-enter each product with the new landed cost.

Vorteile:

ease of use and fantastic customer support

Nachteile:

better accounting visability prior to uploads and more options for FIFO, little bit touchy and tough to troubleshoot some problems without support but overall very efficient and worth the money

Fishbowl Changed Our Business

Kommentare: The training experience was excellent and once we were fully up and running and felt comfortable, it's been such a game-changer for us.

Vorteile:

It's extremely helpful to track our inventory at multiple warehouses and for planning our future inventory needs. The wide array of reports is super helpful for a growing business such as ours. It's extremely helpful for us to be able to track what's been ordered by a customer, what is left in stock, and if we have anymore stock coming in. It's truly changed the way we do our business.

Nachteile:

It was definitely a learning curve for a lot of people on our team and some processes can be a little tricky until you fully understand exactly how it works.

Flooring Distributor using Fishbowl

Kommentare: From the start they have been upfront and honest and having played around with giving me a very high price at first and then lowering it down by 50% like other companies that I dealt with. It’s nice to have the upfront and honest conversations without failing like I’m getting a sales pitch from, a company that just wants to make the sale. Fish bowls, seals representatives. Their internal staff have been very professional from start and throughout the process so far.

Vorteile:

All of the pertinent information that my staff can utilize to help them be better at helping our customers.

Nachteile:

Setting up all of the information. Although they have spreadsheets that you can fill out, it still takes a little time to gather all the information to insert it into the system like any other company.

Inventory built from the ground up.

Kommentare: I’m truly enjoying my experience so far! I’ve managed to build my inventory from the ground up, and the transition has been remarkably smooth. One standout feature is the flexibility in generating reports; I can create various types, from detailed inventory tracking to comprehensive transaction reports and item monitoring. There’s an extensive range of functionalities to explore, and I’m excited to dive deeper into all the possibilities. Additionally, the tech support has been a tremendous asset. They’ve provided invaluable assistance every step of the way, especially since I started with no prior knowledge. Their responsiveness and guidance have made this journey much easier and more enjoyable

Vorteile:

Easy to use, generates numerous reports, and simple to navigate.

Nachteile:

Report cannot be generated for each vendor.

New to Fishbowl - Love it

Kommentare: So far, so good. We have only been "active" for a few weeks but Fishbowl is already helping us track our inventory and sales orders.

Vorteile:

The training was thorough and we felt well prepared to start using Fishbowl. The interface is very intuitive and easy to work with.

Nachteile:

I would love to be able to have more customization features....like reporting; customizing the packing slips/invoices

Fishbowl is very convenient, effective, and efficient!

Kommentare: I’ve used it while scanning in inventory, shipping invoices, and tracking shipments to other warehouses.

Vorteile:

The ease of being able to track inventory via cloud, and also, being able to track through other shippers, like DHL, UPS, FEDEX, and other warehouses.

Nachteile:

Honestly, I’ve had issues while using fishbowl, with lagging, and/or, the app being really slow. Other than that, I like the program more than I dislike the program.

Do not use this software.

Kommentare: Awful company with awful business practices. Do not use.

Vorteile:

It only crashes every few days, which is an improvement over its previous versions.

Nachteile:

They spontaneously change the terms of your contract mid term. Truly unbelievably awful business practices.

My use of FishBowl Online

Kommentare: My trainer, [sensitive content hidden], is excellent. However, his hands are often tied by limitations in the software's functionality and configurability. Many features can not be configured to my business' needs. Also, the integration with LilyPad is completely broken.

Vorteile:

The user interface of FishBowl online is reasonably intuitive.

Nachteile:

Our warehouse business is not a typical fulfillment type setup. We're a receiving, storage, and delivery warehouse of furniture for interior designers. There are many ways in which the FishBowl functionality is not geared toward my business and not flexible enough to configure to my needs. Also, the LilyPad integration with FishBowl Online is completely broken and I've spent hours having to help both companies with the development fixes.

Great Service

Kommentare: Amazing. Anytime I don't know something or there is an issue support is very knowledgeable.

Love their customer service! It's nice knowing if we ever have an issue they are on hand to help deal with it and get us back up and running as quickly as possible.

A Great Product with Great Support

Kommentare: So far the overall experience has been excellent. It was a big jump for us moving up to a complete system like Fishbowl but it has gone smoothly and we are getting better with each step.

Vorteile:

My first impression was with the support and implementation team and they did an excellent job. After that the ease of use to get our data in and all the tools to keep our business running smoothly has been better than expected.

Nachteile:

My only drawback so far is the interface is a bit crowded and it took me a bit to find (remember where) all the buttons were and which icon did what. I'm sure the more I use Fishbowl the less this will be an issue.
