It helps in creating software defined storage environments for VDI environments  which can provide optimization of storage by combing SSDs and HDD which gives you auto tiering option especially for hyper-v environments.

> **Nachteile**: Works well with Windows Hyper-v however on other hypervisor platforms DataCore SAN Symphony is not a suitable option and licenses are also expensive which basically depends on the amount of storage being considered for virtualization.

> Its been a decent experience until now and its been almost 3 years since i used this product

Over all i would say this is wonderful storage virtualization software.
