They couldn’t get our API connected and stung me with a $198 USD charge despite closing my account well within the free trial. > > **Nachteile**: For background:1. I signed up to a 14 day free trial account with Syncee and connected it to Squarespace and Shopify to test2. They were unable to get our API connected, so I cancelled the account / trial (with 4 days remaining on the trial)3. I also cancelled my Shopify trial a week later and was stung with a $198 USD charge by Syncee via Shopify without any warning4. I requested Syncee to refund as clearly this was a mistake (provided extensive evidence of email confirmations the account was closed, Shopify sign in security notifications with the exact same date and time stamp etc etc)5. Syncee refused to refund without any investigation - just referred to their refund and cancellations policy6. I left a review and escalated to their CEO via email7. Syncee immediately emails me and offers a refund but only if I remove the review first and accept this was a 'misunderstanding' on my part (it was not\!)8. I said I would consider it if the refund was made immediately > > They then backflipped and proceeded to attempt to make false statements to gaslight me and admissions that their system clearly has communication / transparency flaws and hidden traps relating to Shopify trials: 1. Syncee advised the 2 email confirmations I received from their system for successfully cancelling my 2 stores was an error / double up2. Syncee dropped the bomb that with Shopify connections, they automatically create a new account linked to said Shopify email in the background without any warning or notification (essentially triggering a whole new trial account) of which I had no access to, visibility over or knowledge of) - so therefor I had 2 accounts with Syncee now, and turns out only one of them apparently had been cancelled (yet I try signing into to this other so called account email they tell me it is and resetting the password and their system says it doesn't exist)3. Their online platform showed the same two cancellation confirmations in their message centre, they claimed this was likely a "caching issue" on my web browser4. Despite these admissions, they still stand by their refusal to refund this unsubstantiated and unauthorised chargeBE VERY CAREFUL WITH THIS COMPANY. They are con artists. There are others online who have reported similar experiences of being scammed under the guise of this 'free' trial.
