Es wäre schön wenn man Project leichter in Teams oder andere Tools integrieren könnte.

Microsoft Project has been big corporate go to for a reason

Kommentare: Overall using Microsoft Project has been an easy and efficient way to manage the projects I oversee. It's a breeze to get started and because everyone has to use Microsoft it's easy to connect with team members.

Vorteile:

I really like the tie in with every other Microsoft product we use in the office. It's been very easy collaborate with the other people on my team and keep everyone on track.

Nachteile:

I don't love using Microsoft products. Sometimes it feels antiquated and you have to take 2 steps where only 1 should be necessary.

A reliable old workhorse.

Kommentare: The quality of MS Project output is often sufficient for the requirement of most projects , but there is little room to do anting new or exciting with the platform. Its and old workhorse.

Vorteile:

Project is widely used in my industry, so familiarity between projects is a bonus.

Nachteile:

The MS Project interface is limiting, and difficult to understand without putting effort into experimentation.

Kommentare: I have always found it easy to use and work within the Microsoft family of products. Would love to see them tighten up their usability and become a little more intuitive to the needs of their clients.

MS Project User Experience

Kommentare: My Overall experience with Microsoft Project has been great, especially given that I had no prior experience of using the software. I was able to quickly grasp the UI and troubleshoot any issues that came up.

Vorteile:

Fairly easy to use, especially if you have a good grasp of MS Excel. It's highly flexible and allows the user to change and tweak a lot of key parameters.

Nachteile:

Compared to other scheduling softwares, e.g. P6, it misses out on some key functionalities. A key feature missing is % work planned. It allows user to compare what % of work was planned till date vs how much has been completed.

Kommentare: It didn't take long to master using Project. It easily gave me quick snapshot information of the progress of projects as well as the means to easily convey that info to others. The user interface was intuitive and made it easy to modify and expand projects.

Microsoft Project applications are easily accessible from the MS Office Store and Sharepoint Store and can be used to increase the product's functionality, such as Custom Dashboards etc. The main advantage is large database and well-written documentation, questions and issues can be readily answered within the community. On the other hand, Microsoft offers effective technical help.

Nachteile:

Although the use is flawless, the configuration is not the easiest, however once configured. User management is difficult and time-consuming.

Kommentare: Superb. It is a 'mandatory must have' tool for all Project Manager and thier team.

Vorteile:

It made planning & scheduling relatively and easy with its intuitive features & flexible function. It is ubiquitous (anyplace, any time) to get project to stay on task, keep projects organized, and tracked & getting work done like Sharing files, co-authoring and editing content as well as working together simultaneously.

Nachteile:

tedious workflow setup especially when there's too many checkpoints of 'what if then else' decision is required

Easiest project management tool

Vorteile:

One of the best project management tool i have ever used, its very easy to leaarn and doesnt requires much time to learn when you are a new bee. I like two main features like Gantt chart and WBS, this makes project planning effective.

Nachteile:

At times sync betwween central server is slow and it takes time to reflect on other systems. One more thing , it misses the compare feature , for example i want to migrate my existing project maually to a new system. Then i will perform a export function and save a .mpp file. When this file is imported to new system , i would expect two windows of the project, to compare and cross check that import has been performed correctly.

Review of Microsoft Project

Kommentare: Initial thought is using MS Project generically. Easily can shift and speak of experience in similar software along with ability to adapt and come up to speed quickly as have demonstrated throughout career. I've been asked similar type questions regarding other types of s/w. I don't make a big deal about it. All organizations have their own specific toolsets. No big deal onboarding with a new one.
