> **Vorteile**: After some initial setup, the software is extremely automated. Prolink has user guides to cover nearly any situation for gathering measurement data and if they don't their support has been excellent. The SPC charts update immediately after finishing a measurement routine and it is readily apparent when there are issues with a dimension. Reporting and export is a nice feature that provides a better interface than the measurement system's software does.

> **Nachteile**: Changes to part routines are handled globally as far as data collection is concerned. For example, if a new feature is added to a part, QC-Calc can be told to create a new stat file or add to the existing file and ignore the missing feature in the historical data. The user needs to be cognizant of how QC-Calc is set up to handle this and adjust their actions accordingly. Developing and testing a measurement routine on a new part can result in a data display full of features that will not continue to be used in production.
