Profile Guidelines
Last updated on May 4, 2026
These Profile Guidelines, which are incorporated by this reference into the General Vendor Terms, govern the use of the Site and between us and all Vendors. Any capitalized term used but not defined herein has the meaning given to it in the General User Terms or General Vendor Terms.
We may update these Profile Guidelines to reflect changes to the law, the Site, or our business. Your continued use of the Site and our Services following our updates constitutes your acceptance of any changes. Anyone who violates these Community Guidelines may be subject to penalties.
Profiles (previously known as Product Listings) are detailed descriptions of Vendor’s products or services (including Vendor’s name & logo, product name & description, screenshots) created by us or Vendor and featured in our online categories (“categories”).
THE BASICS:
Profile Creation:
We will either create Vendor product and service listings from publicly available information or work with the Vendor to create and/or update a listing that reflects the product’s features. While Vendor-provided information is used to inform certain elements of profile pages and content, the final copy is subject to the discretion of our content team. Additional sources that are incorporated in profile content include public information regarding a product or provider and/or content derived from our reviews.
Criteria for Posting Profiles on the Site:
We may list solutions that fit within one or more of our categories. Among the criteria for inclusion are:
- It is B2B or B2C – we do not list marketplaces or database websites, personal productivity solutions, product clones and/or personal apps.
- It is a packaged (pre-built / off-the-shelf) solution – we do not list custom-made/bespoke software.
- It must fit, at our sole discretion, within one of the existing categories.
- It must be publicly available, with a call to action that highlights an offer on sale to the public including, but not limited to, a trial, demo, or request for more information. We will not list products or services when, at our sole discretion, the only call to action is to “join a waitlist” or something similar.
- We will allow products in beta to be listed on the Site when there is a working website promoting the product, highlights an offer on sale to the public, and at least one review collected within the first calendar year of being added to the Site.
- It must be listed under the product or service name on the Vendor’s website or other location directly owned and controlled by the Vendor - we do not list reseller names, integrators, consultants, or other third parties — unless the Vendor expressly authorizes a reseller to list the product on their behalf.
Notwithstanding the above, we allow authorized resellers to participate in our lead generation programs. However, when the parent company requests lead generation for their product, the parent company will take precedence and the reseller will be disabled.
PLEASE NOTE: While the Sites serve as a platform to host a Vendor’s profile, we are not responsible for ensuring the legal and/or regulatory compliance of these products or services. For information on a product or service’s legal and/or regulatory standing, Site users will be directed to the Vendor directly through their website.
PROFILE REMOVAL:
At Vendor Request: We generally do not remove product or service profiles that are currently marketed or sold and fit in a category. We may work with the Vendor to update the profile to ensure it is accurate and reflects the product or service’s features.
If a Vendor is no longer in business and/or the product or service listed is no longer being sold (clearly reflected on the company website), we may (i) review and remove the profile from the catalog; or (ii) keep the profile and indicate that the product or service is no longer sold or discontinued.
At Our Discretion: We reserve the right to modify, enhance or remove a profile at any time, including if, in our sole discretion, the profile fails to comply with these Guidelines, or does not meet our minimum standards of value and engagement. As a general rule, we do not remove Vendor product or services profiles unless: (i) the profile does not fit within at least one of the existing categories; or (ii) there is evidence to demonstrate that the Vendor’s product or service is no longer actively being marketed and/or sold to the public.
If through the course of ongoing maintenance and review of our catalog, we discover that an existing profile no longer fits in a category and/or is not a legitimate, packaged business-to-business (B2B) product or service, it may be reviewed and removed.
